The thoughts behind the painting:
Salmon begin their life in freshwater, move to saltwater and return years later to their native home of freshwater.  Salmon teach us to never give up.  
Just like salmon, we begin our lives in a home that our parents designed for us, a place where we should feel safe and secure. This place has to radiate the feeling that nothing can happen to us, given by the security through a father and the protecting lap of a mother, where we can relax and feel safe. The ideal home is filled with love. 
If this is not the case, life gives us the possibility to learn. Why is this security missing? What happened? Why can’t we let go? Is nobody loving us, do we love our self? A path...Our path teaches us how to find our self, to protect our inner child, to love our self, to let go of all the pain. Then the path leads us home – home to security and safeness, home to our self.  “I am who I am”
