The thoughts behind the painting:
The serenity of all your senses is controlled by your heart. I close my eyes and when I am still scared, I ask myself a question: Why is that fear still present? The answer is: I was threatened to be killed and I was told that, if I say a single word, they will find me, no matter where I am, which means that they will find me also in the dark or at night. That threat to life went straight into my heart. Just like I can capture or map this menace, I can capture everything. Thinking about this threat does not only leave me full of fear, but also takes my breath away and puts pressure on my chest. However, thinking back to the moment I fell in love for the first time, makes my body relax – my chest & my hips are at ease, my breath flows and I feel happiness inside. It is only with the heart that one can see rightly – I open my heart, look inside, listen and find my answers.  Ask your heart.
